On the night of July 12, a significant attack was launched against Ukraine by Russian military forces, utilizing strike drones and missiles. Explosions were heard in multiple cities, including the capital. Hits were recorded in Lviv and Kharkiv.

According to the Air Force: "A large cluster of UAVs is observed in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, eastern Zhytomyr, western Sumy, and northern Odesa. Strike drones are moving chaotically in the airspace of these regions! Air defense is active, please take care and stay in shelters!".
At 03:23, military warned of a fast-moving target in Sumy region heading towards Poltava. Another target was identified in Kharkiv, also moving towards Poltava.
As of 03:50, six Russian cruise missiles are heading towards the Kremenchuk reservoir, as reported by the Air Force.
One missile is traveling through Lysianchuk towards Kyiv!
Updated at 04:00. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported a hit in the city.
"The main concern now is the safety of every resident, so I strongly urge you to stay in shelters until the air alert is over," wrote the mayor.
As of 04:54, according to the Air Force, Russian missiles are moving towards Rohatyn, Khodoriv, Shumsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Rudno, Zboriv, Berestetske, and Lutsk.
Around five o'clock in the morning on July 12, the Russian army struck a residential area in the Kyiv region with a guided aerial bomb. As a result of the attack, there is one reported casualty.
