The Mayor of Odessa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, commented on the situation regarding the damaged building, stating that he will do everything possible to ensure residents can return home as soon as possible.

During an onsite meeting on Yaroslav the Wise Avenue, where an enemy drone struck on the night of May 1, the mayor met with residents to discuss their concerns.

The expert commission declared the building unsafe, requiring immediate relocation for repair work. Residents have been offered a rental compensation program.

«An extraordinary session of the city council is scheduled for May 13, where deputies will determine the funding amount for stabilizing the building and restoring the upper floors. Before that, the technical report will be reviewed by the regional commission. We will do everything possible to ensure families return to their homes quickly», — emphasized the mayor.
