The stabilization and conservation works have been completed in the building on Prince Yaroslav Mudryi Avenue (formerly Academician Hlushko Avenue), which was struck by an enemy drone on the night of May 1.
Starting Monday, residents of the second entrance will be able to return to their apartments. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Filatov. Previously, after the emergency works were completed, residents of the first entrance had already returned.
Unfortunately, the elevator in the second entrance will not be operational yet — the upper structure of the elevator shaft has been destroyed and requires reconstruction.
Currently, project documentation for the major repair of the building is being developed. Funding for the repair works is planned to be included in next year's budget.
As mentioned by Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, four apartments on the upper floors have been declared destroyed. Three of them have already received decisions from the Executive Committee to issue housing certificates under the eRecovery program, while documentation for the fourth apartment is still being processed.
Specialists from the city’s BTI and the Kyiv district administration are working with other residents of the building whose housing has been damaged. They are assisting with the digitization of technical documentation and the submission of applications for financial aid under the city program “Unbreakable Odesa” and the state program eRecovery.
