On August 24, a festive concert took place on the main street of Odesa — Deribasivska – in celebration of Ukraine's Independence Day.
The event featured a blend of Ukrainian folk songs, modern hits, English-language pieces, and even rock tunes.
This musical array symbolized Ukraine's openness to the world, its dialogue with other cultures, and pride in its own traditions. True independence is the ability to cherish one's own while freely interacting with the entire world.
The concert program included the Black Sea Orchestra from the Odesa Municipal Music Theater named after O. Salik (conductor — Olesya Pistova; soloists: Anastasia Buinitska, Yuliya Borza, Tetiana Ihnatenko, Aliya Diguliar).
Other participants in the festive program included the Odesa City Center for Choreographic Arts (director — Yukhym Kogan), the Military Academy Concert Orchestra (Odesa, conductor — Yaroslav Meda; soloists: Anna Haluzinska, Oleksandr Nesterenko, Oleksiy Havrylyak) and the Nana Kritsak Band.
