On City Day, Odesa welcomed its first baby girl, bringing joy to the community.

Little Ksenia was born at exactly midnight on September 2nd at maternity hospital No. 5.

She weighs 3 kilograms and 500 grams and measures 52 cm. Ksenia is the second child in her family. Both mother and daughter are doing well.

In Odesa, there is a lovely tradition of bringing gifts to the maternity ward where the first baby of City Day is born.

The mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, greeted the newborn and all the parents celebrating this special day.

"Congratulations to all the newborns and families who welcomed new members on our city’s birthday. May the children grow healthy and happy in free Ukraine," said Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

On this day, 19 babies were born in Odesa - 12 girls and 7 boys.
