Transforming Education in Odesa with 'Mriya'
According to Oleksandr Lonchak, the implementation of the «Mriya» platform is more than just adopting a new digital tool; it marks the beginning of significant changes in educational management—transparent, modern, and focused on convenience for students, teachers, and parents.
Recently, a final online presentation of the «Mriya» application and portal was held for school administrators in the Odesa region.
«Starting in September, all schools in the region will operate within the «Mriya» digital environment, uniting all participants in the educational process in a single electronic space», he noted.
What is 'Mriya'?
«Mriya» is a free digital platform that integrates all key elements of school life: schedules, grades, homework, chats, achievement analytics, a library of educational materials, and tools for teachers and parents. It was developed and is being implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program.
The platform includes:
- an electronic journal;
- schedule;
- feedback system;
- material library;
- other tools for organizing learning and communication.
Practical Benefits of 'Mriya'
For Students: the platform offers personalized learning, a motivation system through an internal currency called «Mriyka», which can be exchanged for real bonuses, and access to extracurricular activities. Students will be able to access electronic textbooks, receive individual recommendations and tasks, and watch educational videos.
For Teachers: «Mriya» automates routine tasks, allows for schedule creation, checks homework (including automated checks), maintains electronic journals, and facilitates communication with students and parents through secure chats. It has extensive databases of ready-made tests, lessons, presentations, and teaching materials.
For Parents: the platform provides transparent access to their child’s educational achievements, simplifies communication with teachers, and assists in choosing extracurricular activities.
Preparing for External Independent Assessment (ZNO) and State Final Attestation (DPA): The platform contains special modules for preparing for state assessments, including tests and error analysis.
Currently, preparations for its implementation are underway—particularly training educators and technical integration of schools.
«Mriya» is being developed at the national level and aims to cover all educational institutions in Ukraine by the end of 2025, creating a unified, convenient, and accessible educational environment.
