In January of this year, educators preparing to teach the subject «Defense of Ukraine» participated in a practical shooting training seminar held by the sport shooting club «Stvol».

Teachers gained valuable theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the use of different types of firearms from experienced instructors.

During the seminar, participants enhanced their skills in safety, teaching methods for shooting, and working with specialized equipment and combat weapons.

The event was organized by the Municipal Extracurricular Education Institution «Odesa City Center for Military-Patriotic Education» with the support of the Odesa City Council's Department of Education and Science.

At Odesa Lyceum No. 1 named after A. P. Bistrina, an open lesson on the subject «Defense of Ukraine» was conducted by the honored teacher of Ukraine, Oleg Denysov.

The updated educational program «Defense of Ukraine. Integrated Course» aims to foster patriotic consciousness and practical skills for preserving life. Its distinct feature is providing equal opportunities for all students to acquire important skills.

Thanks to the updates in the “Defense of Ukraine” program, high school students will be able to:

- learn about different types of drones and their applications;

- provide first aid in combat situations;

- shoot firearms;

- understand what information warfare is and how to avoid enemy information-psychological operations (IPSO).
