A new food program for elementary school students has been implemented in several districts of Odesa. Two other districts are still finalizing their procurement processes.

Today, November 14, Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, visited one of the largest schools in the Kyiv district to check on the food service organization and talk with students and their parents.

The mayor also participated in a school drill conducted during an air raid alert. Recently, the institution completed work to expand its shelter.

"Every day, nearly 2000 children study here, attending classes in shifts to meet safety requirements. Previously, the school's shelter could only accommodate 250 people, which is insufficient for such a large institution. A decision was made to expand it, and we ensured all necessary conditions for this. Today, the shelter can hold twice as many people," - concluded Odesa's mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
