The introduction of the "Defense of Ukraine" subject in Odesa schools, along with equipping classrooms with modern technology, represents a critical focus in the education sector. 

This course develops a conscious attitude towards national defense among the youth, helping students grasp the importance of safety and readiness for emergencies. 

In Odesa, eight modern centers have been established, the first of their kind in the country, equipped with essential devices, models, and a training range. Students from several schools will learn at these centers. The classes will be taught by experienced instructors who have undergone relevant training, some even having real-life experience from the ongoing conflict. 

High school students will learn how to respond in dangerous situations and provide first aid. Additionally, the curriculum will include contemporary warfare tactics.
