The II (territorial) stage of competitions under the project for physical education and health activities «Together We Win: Nationwide School Leagues» took place in Odesa among students of secondary education institutions in the 2024/2025 academic year.

School teams competed for supremacy in volleyball and rugby-5.

According to the results of the volleyball matches among girls in grades 5-9, the teams that advanced to the city III stage were Odesa Lyceums No. 7, 56, 86, and Odesa Gymnasium No. 25, while for girls in grades 9-11, the advancing teams were Odesa Lyceums No. 13, 51, 62, and Odesa Specialized School No. 32.

The winners of the II stage in volleyball among boys in grades 5-9 were Odesa Lyceums No. 5, 89, and Odesa Gymnasium No. 77, while for boys in grades 9-11, the winners were Odesa Lyceums No. 24, 84, «Langeronivsky», and Odesa Specialized School No. 32.

The rugby-5 competitions among students of secondary education institutions were held in the city’s sports halls for the first time. This exciting game develops speed, coordination, team spirit, and strategic thinking, allowing teams to create original tactical situations that require good communication and interaction among players.

The winners of the II stage in rugby-5 were Odesa Lyceums No. 28, 40, and 69.

All participants in these sports demonstrated a high level of preparation, skill, and unwavering will to win. New challenges lie ahead, so teams are diligently preparing for upcoming competitions.

The project «Together We Win: Nationwide School Leagues» represents the largest student competitions in the country among students of secondary education institutions in the 2024/2025 academic year, held under the slogan «Together We Win». The goal is to increase the number of schoolchildren who engage in sports regularly and lead a healthy lifestyle.
