A 20-year-old offender has been arrested on suspicion of drug crimes. He faces a lengthy imprisonment.

Patrol officers discovered a local resident on the Health Trail, where he was laying down "drops" with prohibited substances. An investigative team seized a total of 22 zip packets containing psychotropic substances, which were confirmed by rapid tests.

During the investigation, it was established that the suspect was receiving illegal goods via the internet, packaging them at home, and distributing them through "drops". His actions were recorded on his mobile phone, which was also confiscated.

Investigator Marina Yermolenko reported that the suspect has been charged under parts 1 and 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for illegal acquisition and distribution of psychotropic substances. The court has placed him in custody with the possibility of bail set at 60,565 UAH. According to current legislation, he faces up to 10 years in prison with asset confiscation.

The police are continuing the investigation to identify other individuals involved in drug trafficking. The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office of Odessa.
