A new fibrogastroscope has been introduced at the Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 6 in Odesa.

This advanced device is equipped with chromoscopy modes that allow for early detection of cancers, as well as diagnosing gastritis, ulcers, and other stomach conditions. It is also used to remove foreign bodies.

Thanks to the modern video processor and monitor, the doctor receives a clear, high-quality image during the examination.

The processor also features photo and video recording capabilities, enabling the documentation of pathological changes in the stomach for subsequent treatment planning.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy is offered free of charge in Odesa's medical institutions under the state medical guarantee program, based on agreements with the National Health Service of Ukraine.

Last year, over 24,500 procedures were performed in the city's medical facilities. It is recommended that individuals over 50 undergo gastroscopy regularly, even in the absence of complaints.

The medical facilities in Odesa are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment for esophagogastroduodenoscopy. The service is available on an outpatient basis with a referral from a family or treating physician.
