At the Odesa Specialized Children's Home No. 1, a palliative care unit has been established where children suffering from serious illnesses receive high-quality medical assistance.
The youngest child in this unit is only 1 year and 3 months old, while the oldest is 15. These are primarily children with congenital nervous system disorders, such as cerebral palsy.
The unit is equipped with modern medical devices acquired through city budget funds and the support of donors.
Children receive expensive treatments free of charge, specialized enteral nutrition, and are cared for in comfortable conditions surrounded by attentive and caring staff.
In conjunction with palliative care, the Children's Home also provides opportunities for medical rehabilitation for the children.
This week, representatives from the Kyiv District Administration, Compassion Medical (USA), and the EHBC “House of Prayer” visited the Children's Home.
During the meeting, current needs of the facility were discussed. An agreement was reached to assist in acquiring medical equipment that will significantly improve the care of children and ease the workload of the staff.
