Health Update: Influenza and COVID-19 Trends in Odesa

According to the Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the incidence of ARVI and influenza in Odesa is at a seasonal level, falling below the epidemic threshold by 31%.

Last week, a total of 2564 residents contracted ARVI and influenza, with 70.2% of them being children under 17 years old.  

The incidence of COVID-19 in Odesa has decreased by 2.1 times over the past week, with nine laboratory-confirmed cases reported, all among children. Free COVID-19 vaccination points continue to operate in local family clinics.

Additionally, 42 residents were diagnosed with acute intestinal infections last week, 61.9% of whom were children.

Single cases of viral hepatitis and airborne infections were registered. There were no reported cases of diphtheria, measles, rubella, or tetanus during the week.

The epidemiological situation in Odesa remains stable and under control.
