The Podil community has unveiled an innovative mobile emergency power system, which includes a diesel generator, photovoltaic system, and batteries. This equipment will enhance the community's energy resilience during power outages.
This was reported by the Odesa Regional State Administration.
In the event of a blackout or damage to the power grid, the mobile unit can quickly supply electricity to critical facilities.
The system's capacity is designed to support up to 5,000 subscribers, enabling the operation of hospitals, schools, and other vital institutions in emergency conditions.
In the future, such complexes may be deployed throughout the Odesa region, creating a network of mobile energy solutions for communities.
“The issue of energy security is becoming one of the key priorities. Odesa region, as a strategically important area, demonstrates how collective efforts can not only respond to current threats but also lay the foundation for a sustainable future,” said the regional administration.
