Ukrposhta has announced the release of a new series of stamps dedicated to the resilient mothers of our nation. This presentation was timed to coincide with Mother's Day, as stated by the company.
Ukrposhta emphasized that the new product will serve as a "symbol of gratitude and respect for Ukrainian mothers".
"Despite the challenges of war, Ukrainians honor the women who have raised a strong nation. Our new postal stamp is dedicated to all mothers who have blessed their children to protect their homeland, mothers who preserve the memory of the fallen, which cannot be destroyed by enemy bullets, and mothers who have chosen to join the defense forces of Ukraine, fighting for their children's future in a free and independent country," the postal service explained.
The new stamp, titled "For Mother's Day. I Live Through You...", features the embrace of a woman in traditional Ukrainian attire and a soldier.
"The woman symbolizing motherhood wraps her son in a bright yellow embroidered scarf, and her face expresses deep sorrow and tenderness," added Ukrposhta.
The author of this special miniature is the honored artist of Ukraine, Oleksandr Okhapkin, who also created the stamp titled "Under the Protection of the Mother of God".
The print run of the new stamp will be 320,000 copies. Additionally, Ukrposhta will release 20,000 first-day envelopes and 500 presentation folders. The cancellation with a special "First Day" stamp is planned to take place in Kyiv, along with special cancellations in all regions of the country.
The stamp "For Mother's Day. I Live Through You..." will officially enter circulation on May 9.
