Ukrainians who have not yet utilized their compensation funds for repairing damaged housing are permitted to reapply for the service.
This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, on Telegram.
Relevant changes have been made to the Regulations on Compensation for the Restoration of Certain Categories of Real Estate Damaged as a Result of Hostilities, Terrorist Acts, or Diversions Caused by the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation, using the electronic public service «eRestoration».
According to the changes, compensation recipients who, due to objective circumstances (defined by the resolution), were unable to fully or partially use the compensation funds within the established timeframe, are allowed to reapply for compensation or its remaining balance.
Additionally, regulations have been established regarding the accountability of compensation fund recipients for misuse of the funds if such a fact is discovered by the compensation review committee.
As reported, under the "eRestoration" program, almost 97,000 families have received assistance for the restoration of damaged property, and nearly 20,000 families have been compensated for purchasing new housing to replace destroyed properties.
