In the city of Chornomorsk, search operations for a 16-year-old boy who went missing while swimming are ongoing for the third consecutive day. Meanwhile, in Odessa, rescuers saved six individuals who were swept out to sea.
Recall that on July 28, rescuers pulled ten children from the water who were swimming during a storm. Unfortunately, one teenager is still unaccounted for, and strong waves hindered the search efforts.
According to the State Emergency Service in the Odessa region, search operations have covered 16,500 m² of the seabed, with 6,000 m² scanned using a drone, alongside 8 km of coastline.
Two similar incidents occurred in Odessa:
- At the «Golden Beach» resort, three teenagers were swept out to sea on a mattress but were rescued.
- At the «Vidrada» beach, three men were also swept away but were successfully saved.
