Fire Incident in the Odesa Region

Yesterday, a fire ignited in the Odesa region near the village of Avangard, affecting dry vegetation.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

Due to strong winds, there was a risk of the fire spreading. Drones were deployed for reconnaissance and monitoring of the blaze from above. Firefighters responded with an elevated emergency call.

The fire was successfully extinguished after several hours, covering an area of approximately 25 hectares!

Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Four units of equipment and 15 firefighters were involved from the State Emergency Service, along with 3 units and 7 personnel from the Avangard Village Council Citizen Safety Center, and 1 unit and 4 volunteers from the Ukrainian Volunteer Firefighters Association.
