The U-17 Ukrainian Wrestling Championship took place from April 4 to 6 in Khmelnytskyi.

This event served as a qualifier for the European Championship scheduled for June in Italy.

The gold medal and a spot at the European Championship were claimed by Herman Basarab (48 kg), a member of the Odesa Wrestling Federation, competing for the Greek Wrestling Club, SHVSM «Olympiets», and FST «Dynamo».

Another Odesa representative, Danilo Dragulian, competed in the 65 kg category and secured a silver medal after a tough final against a Kharkiv athlete, earning his place on the national team.

Both athletes were trained by experienced coaches Viktor Synyavskyi and Oleksandr Hrabovan.
