Odessa's Dayana Yastremska has once again found success at the «Roland Garros» tournament, advancing to the third round of the competition currently taking place in Paris.

In her opening match, Dayana faced Australian player Destanee Aiava, who received a wild card. The first set was fiercely contested, but ultimately, Dayana triumphed with a score of 7:5, 6:1.

Last year, Yastremska reached the third round at this tournament, and she has now repeated that achievement.

In the 1/32 finals, she defeated the world’s 12th ranked player, Russian Diana Schneider, with a score of 7:5, 7:5. The match lasted 1 hour and 51 minutes, and this was their second encounter, where Dayana managed to avenge her previous loss.

In the next round, the Odessa player will face another Russian, Lyudmila Samsonova.

"Roland Garros" is one of the four Grand Slam tournaments held in Paris at the «Roland Garros» tennis complex. The competition is traditionally held over two weeks at the end of May and beginning of June, starting from 1891.
