From March 6 to 9, 2025, Dnipro hosted the open Muay Thai tournament titled «Dnipro Star».

 This year, the event was dedicated to the defenders of the homeland.

160 athletes from Odesa, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Berdychiv, Zaporizhia, Poltava, Kharkiv, and other clubs in the Dnipropetrovsk region came to compete for awards.

The main motivation for each boxer in the fight for victory over their opponent was the opportunity to participate in the Ukrainian championship in April and the chance to join the national team.

The Odesa athletes from the Odesa Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 7 won 14 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals at the tournament.

Winners included: Nikita Kuts, Bohdan Studnev, Kyrylo Berezovskyi, Volodymyr Trufkak, Yelyzaveta Velykova, Diana Savotina, Oleksandr Andriushchenko, Ivan Rasputnyi, Vladyslav Postnov, Tymur Katerynchak, Oleksandr Zabara, Mark Yushchuk, Pavlo Balabko, and Yelysei Shaienko.

Silver medals were awarded to: Dmytro Zanin, Kira Laryonova, Mykhailo Honcharuk, Ruslan Kravchenko, and Sviatoslav Shaienko.

Bronze medals went to Tymur Ostrovskyi and Myroslav Yakush.

The athletes were coached by: Volodymyr Pishenin, Liliya Shapoval, Mykhailo Mitaki, and Mykhailo Kovalchuk.

The tournament was organized by the Dnipro City Muay Thai Federation in collaboration with the 25th Separate Air Assault Brigade.
