From November 25 to December 10, 2024, Odessa hosts the annual campaign «16 Days Against Violence», which is part of an international initiative. The official kickoff took place in the City Park.
City council representatives, organizations working to prevent violence, activists, and local residents participated in the event.
«Everyone deserves a life free from violence. It’s crucial to unite efforts in combating violence and supporting victims», - stated the head of the social service, Elena Kytainska.
Specialists from mobile psychological support teams and volunteers offered consultations for those in need and distributed informational brochures.
During the event, women and girls received flowers as a symbol of solidarity against violence.
The primary goal of the «16 Days Against Violence» campaign is to raise public awareness about domestic violence and gender discrimination issues, ensuring equal rights for all.
