The authorities apprehended a person attempting to illegally transport six individuals to the unrecognized territory of Transnistria. The suspect has been charged, and the court has imposed a preventive measure. He faces a lengthy prison sentence along with potential asset confiscation.

Patrol police officers, during their duty, stopped a «KIA Sorento» driven by a 51-year-old man working at a local recruitment center. Six young men from various regions of Ukraine were inside the vehicle.
Upon arrival at the scene, investigators discovered that the driver had organized the illegal transportation of conscripts to the self-proclaimed republic. His services cost between five to eight thousand dollars. He acted in conspiracy with an unidentified person who sought clients.
The police confiscated the vehicle, detained the driver, and directed the passengers for verification to the military recruitment center.
Investigators gathered sufficient evidence and charged the individual under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for organizing illegal transportation of individuals across the border. This crime carries a penalty of up to nine years of imprisonment and deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities.
The court imposed a preventive measure of detention with the possibility of bail set at 240,000 hryvnias, which the suspect did not utilize.
Law enforcement continues to investigate, identifying all individuals involved in this crime. The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Odessa specialized prosecutor's office.
