image

Timely cancer diagnosis can significantly increase the chances of successful treatment and saving lives. The National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) offers free preventive examinations for all citizens, regardless of their place of residence.

The main areas of early diagnosis include free services for detecting the most common cancers:

  • Mammography – X-ray examination of the breasts to detect pathologies;
  • Hysteroscopy – examination of the uterus to identify intrauterine changes;
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy – examination of the esophagus and stomach to detect anomalies;
  • Colonoscopy – examination of the intestine to detect inflammations and neoplasms;
  • Cystoscopy – examination of the bladder with the possibility of biopsy;
  • Bronchoscopy – examination of the airways with the possibility of removing foreign bodies.

Residents of Kyiv and internally displaced persons can access these services at medical facilities that have agreements with the NHSU. An electronic referral from a doctor is required to obtain the service.

Diagnostic examinations are available for patients of certain ages: mammography and colonoscopy from 40 years, and other studies from 50 years.

Anesthesia, consultations, and examination results on digital media are also available. More detailed information can be found on the NHSU website at the following link: https://cutt.ly/ieIPVARP.
