In Pryamobalka village, located in the Bolhrad district of Odesa region, an astonishing event occurred — a woman gave birth at home, unable to reach the hospital in time.

This was reported by the Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine Center.

“Upon arrival, we realized that the delivery was already in progress, and transporting the patient was impossible. The woman was giving birth at home, surrounded by her family. The situation was complicated by the baby’s breech presentation, which poses risks in such non-hospital conditions,” said paramedic Tamara Dacheva.

The delivery took place right in the house. Initially, the newborn girl showed no signs of breathing, with a cyanotic skin tone and weak heartbeat. Resuscitation efforts began immediately.

The medical team performed airway clearance, bag-mask ventilation, tactile stimulation, and oxygen therapy. After several critical moments, the baby took her first breath, cried out, and regained a healthy pink color to her skin, with breathing restored.

The mother and her newborn daughter were transported to the Arcyz Central District Hospital, where both are reported to be in stable condition.
