As part of new cultural initiatives, the Odessa City Council hosted a conference titled «Odessa Collections» on July 4, 2025, at the «#ARTODESSA» gallery in the Summer Theater.

The purpose of the event was to unite collectors, cultural theorists, and art historians to discuss crucial issues related to the collection and promotion of artistic works.

Odessa is known for its unique artifacts that hold significant historical value. Today, preserving cultural heritage is a pressing task for all city residents.

The conference featured panel discussions, including:

1. Characteristics and features of Odessa collections. (Anatoliy Drozdovsky, Sergey Kalmykov).

2. Private and municipal collections. Preservation during challenging times. (Semen Kantor, Zoya Shinchuk).

3. Study and replenishment of collections. (Tetiana Shchurova, Olena Yavorska).

4. Educational aspects of popularizing collecting. (Oleksandr Kostohryz, Dmytro Sikorsky).

5. New concepts and attracting investments. (Denis Mitskevich).
